"Bicentennial Man"=inspirational story of one android's struggle to persuade the UN to legally recognize his right to marry his grandniece. Seriously, think about it! Replace android with "immortal live in manny" or "adopted Highlander brother" and you have a grown man raise Little Miss from kindergarten to adulthood who eventually falls in love with Little Miss' granddaughter initially just because she resembles the grown up version of Little Miss. Remember: he's treated as a true member of the family. Even if he's not technically blood related, its uncomfortably creepy to not even acknowledge this reality, even just as a hypothetical moral barrier to their relationship. If he is to be treated like other humans, than maybe he should be encouraged to perhaps consider dating a woman with a different last name than his own. Ewww!

I admit I wasn't paying very close attention to this movie (it became very boring and hokey, very quickly), but I did catch Robin Williams' character say towards the end, "I loved you since the first time I saw you" and I said what What WHAT!? She was just a child when you first saw her! Or did I miss something?

Nope, Just love. Beware that ridiculing love towards children to insinuate pedophilia will cause further dehumanization of their upbringing. Those children will one day have to take care of us elders. When they were brought up with helicoptering parents and in isolation from adults other than their parents they will have trust issues and lack of love themselves. Not a very nice world to live in.

I don't fully recall details of this film... did he have a dick and semen to impregnate her? Robots cause human pregnancy here? Pretty sure that is not the case, THERE FOR how does incest play in to this at all? Regardless they are not the same blood (if I recall) so my question is, why are people becoming so freaking stupid now days???
