How Come Family Guy Never Received The Big Screen Treatment Like The Simpson's??

I've always wondered why Family Guy never received the Big Screen Treatment like The Simpson's did?? Both were very popular and both had the crossover with one another during the episode where Lois murders Stewie and even had an American Dad crossover too? I think there was also one with Homer vs Peter over Peter snuffing Duff's Beer and pissing off Homer in the process?? 🤔

I don't remember a Simpsons crossover in the episode where Lois murders Stewie. Although there was a whole crossover episode once.

It's like in the opening montage that spoofs the NAKED GUN and it shows Peter running from the camera as it looms closer
