Snowbird

Did any of you ever have a similar experience with this song? I was very young when it 1st came out, and even then, (1st grade maybe), I understood the dark undertones. Actually, I thought it was about suicide and to this day, I kind of associate death with a little bird
flying us around a wintry 'land of gentle breezes where the peaceful waters flow'...To a little kid with a young heart, the line 'But now I feel such emptiness within', was profound, because I took the words literally and couldn't imagine anything worse than emptiness. Oddly enough, my 14 year old daughter just picked this song for an English class project, so it has been on my mind. She saw the FG ep and was intrigued. BTW, she thinks it's about a lost relationship.
