Your life WILL 'flash' before your 'eyes' anyway at some point, might as well get used to the idea.

However, if your life was boring, I guess you'd have nothing to revisit..

“Nostalgia” means “a fondness for home.” It has nothing to do with “the collective past.” It is a tremendously misused word.

A much better choice is “Proustean,” as in Marcel Proust, author of Remembrance of Things Past.
