I have to say even though it's a little vague, that actually sounds intriguing, although I can't think of a lot of real life relics that if removed from history would really alter the timeline, people sure but not relics.
But all hell breaks loose when the time stream gets out of control.
Also, it seems unlikely Peter would be interested in teaching the family about history, but of course that could partly be the gist of it, Peter grabs things that either make no sense or he grabs the wrong things that actually do somehow, alter the present.
It would be an interesting dynamic between Peter and Stewie because there are my two favorite characters.
