The family was watching a TV show and the characters in it where saying:

Women: Who are we kidding? Does anyone even watch this show?
Man: Old people still do, they like it for the company. (Turning to viewers) Hi there, how are you?

Does anyone know what show they where parodying?

It wasn't a parody since the TV announcer states which show it was but Peter was watching JAG & it happened in Petergeist.
