When Stewie is out of town

I know it's a cartoon and I shouldn't take it that seriously, but when Stewie is out of town - for example, the episode where he and Brian go to visit Anne Murray, where does the family think he is?

Isn't Lois worried about where her baby is?!?! Why would she allow a dog to take her 1 year old baby on a road trip to another state?!?!

Again, I know it's a cartoon and not real people, just wondering if they've ever justified how Stewie can spend so much time away from the family.

Peter and Lois aren't very caring parents. That must be why they never notice Stewie being out of town.

Stewie is with Brian most of the time.

Because he takes the talking dog in the time machine the baby built so they don't realize he's gone in those episodes when going out of town. They maybe be gone for "days" but they return at --- the same time they left so they never realize they left!!!

That's a good point too. A lot of times they are traveling through time and space so lois wouldn't even realize.

Yeah I think Lois and Peter think it's totally normal for Brian to be taking care of stewie. He's usually the one taking him to the park or to friends birthday parties.
