Theatrical Cut or the Director's Cut?
which version do you prefer and why?
shareDirector's cut all the way! It may just be because I'm more used to it, but i feel like the theatrical cut, which I've seen bits of on TV since seeing the director's cut, is incomplete. I love having the more fleshed out story, though it also does feel a bit long. Wonderful film!
shareThe Theatrical Cut. I used to prefer the Directors Cut ("untitled" / The Bootleg Cut or whatever it is called) but nowadays I prefer the tightness of the original version. All the great scenes are in that version anyway.
shareI love this film, the Director's cut has a few scenes which explain stuff better like William is younger than his class mates.
shareI prefer the Bootleg cut because it provides more wonderful-ness.
But either cut is fine.
(Edit) allow me to elaborate:
The extended sequences are brilliantly scored and super continuous and I love the music and the acting and the overall vibe of the whole thing, and I feel like the Bootleg Cut should have been the Theatrical Release. But I’m happy to have both.
