How did john get out after being haloed??

The ending didn't make any sense. We see John get haloed and locked up. And the hes all of a sudden out again at the party stalking Lamar. That can only mean he was released immediately from pre-cog prison, magically escaped, or the ending was something John(Tom cruise) dreamed while inside the tube with the halo. Please explain?

Did you miss the scene where Anderton's wife surprises Gideon (The Warden) with a visit by illegally entering his room, and puts an eyeball in a bag on his organ's keyboard?

He posted this in 2013 but I am guessing that he never saw the movie again and till this day he's wondering how John was able to free himself. :D
