Although knowing the answer to this is negative, which i know it is, i will go on asking whether there is such a novel, author resembling Avalon Landing, William Forrester, on which the screenplay of this film was based on?
I'm also interested in the titles of the books we see at the very beginning, perhaps not all of them but the more serious one's?
help will be appreciated.

only to my mis-fortune
but there it is...
all that was found is that it was difficult to read
and it involved a mythical character
I've had enough of mythical anything to know this is so!
