Jamal never read Avalon landing. Seems to be a catcher in the rye-type book and not many wanting to read the classics haven't read that.

Agree/disagree (snd if so, why?)?

He said in the movie that he did read it.

He said he read the book when, on his first day in his new school, he sat with Claire as Crawford handed out "Avalon Landing" to the class. Claire asked if he had read the book, he replied to the affirmative.
