'Forget everything I ever told you' meaning

I'm watching it right now and I never got this line

Before going out to the sting operation Miles tells Carlson to forget everything he ever told him. Carlson says "you meant about Internal Affairs" and Malone says "NO everything"

What did he mean? Did he ever really tell Carlson everything but I missed it?

Basically told him everything he told him was a lie.

I always took it as Malone told Carlson all type of dangerous or illegal things to do on the streets as a cop and he knew it'll eventually get Carlson in trouble or killed if he was gullible enough to listen

Yeah for a detective, Carlson was pretty dense until the end lol.
