Funniest of the two? I'd say this. But as far as overall better, King of Kong easy.
shareAmerican Movie is like 100 minutes long, but it's so slow it feels like a 3-hour movie. I love it and it's hilarious, but man I feel like it's a big commitment to watch.
King of Kong, on the other hand, is too short and leaves me wanting more every time I watch it.
So yeah, I can't decide.
I think American Movie is much better. I liked king of kong a lot, but american movie was much funnier, had more interesting characters, and i thought it was a lot more emotional. My problem with king of kong is that they set it up to make you hate billy mitchell, they do their best to show him in his worst. they want you to be on Steve's side the whole time, which I was. But in American Movie the director doesnt show stuff to make the audience think the way he thinks, he just shows these people being normal, well normal for those people
