It grows on you

Like fungus. I picked this up when I discovered it's existence just a few months ago.

On first viewing I found it somewhat lacking in depth, kind of like a half made film on a shoestring budget. But there were elements that stuck with me, mostly the very odd nature and cast of unknowns(other than Ned from Ghost Story).

Having now watched it about a hlaf dozen times, I find it has really grown on me. The female lead who I first found to be almost forgettable I now see as a truly fine actress.

Wow, you have watched it a half dozen times in a few months? That's a lot, for me at least. But I agree with you, there is something about this movie that sticks with me, I have to revisit it from time to time and I find myself liking it better after each viewing.

I admire your tenacity! I wish I had time or interest to watch more films repeatedly, but there are so many I haven't seen so once will have to do for now.

I love the fact that the cast is pretty much unknown and that I had no expectation before I watched this film because I had never heard of it before. It was a pleasant surprise, and I'm sure I'd like it even more if I get around to watching it again ... someday.

Have you by chance seen "The Sender"? That's another film that really grew on me:

It's not as great as 'The Carnival of Souls' but certainly has the same feel.
