I believe it was released on video in the late '80s or early '90s, and it then disappeared into oblivion after being banned in the UK. It's near to impossible to come by now, on DVD or on video. I remember a few years ago when it was first released on DVD, Best Buy carried it for $5.99 or something like that. I had never heard of it before, and the cover art with the bloody-faced dead girl grabbed me; for six bucks, not a bad cheap slasher movie. Not to mention it was filmed in my hometown, so that made it even more interesting to me. I've been to the mansion where they shot it at, it's a historical landmark around here. They do tours of the place year-round, and have a huge Christmas event there every December. Neat place.
It was filmed in Portland, Oregon, where I was born and raised. Nobody really knows about this movie since it fell into the B-slasher flick underground, but it was filmed at Pittock Mansion. Here's the website for the place: http://pittockmansion.org/
It's a beautiful house. I haven't been there since I was young, but I remember the giant marble staircase and a grand piano on the second floor landing. It's an amazing place, even more so when they do the Christmas decorations and all. It's in the West Hills, an extremely upscale neighborhood overlooking the city. I think they've filmed a couple of movies there.
