Why does Sadako kill the people that watch the tape?

she kills those who don't show the video around because she wants the truth of the crimes that happened to her to be told and known by everyone, and those killed who cover them up.

yes i reckon "she"'d be in 2 or more places at the same time.
no i don't think her being killed was actually filmed. neither by her dad nor anyone else.
and i don't think enough people in the room could do her in, no matter how many people that would be.

Her dad didn't film it, it was just recorded onto a VHS tape by her powers because those campers happened to be recording a tape near the place where she died.

Perhaps if you are curious you may wish to seek out the books and 1st and 3rd original movies to understand exactly why and how Sadako kills.

For example: the significance of the intermittent loud static line every few seconds in the legendary tv scene as she crawls toward us in the tv indicating/hinting at Sadako blinking. (ie: she is wanting the entire world to see and pay for her believed 20 or so years in the well and what we/Ryuji are witnessing is indeed her own personal hell and memory from her mind - hence the blinking of her own eyes). A truly brilliant and somewhat unknown concept to some.
