I'm hoping an Austen fan can help. I remember watching a movie awhile ago and all I can remember is that it was similar to mansfield park but the heroine ends up with the older brother and the end scene is them walking together in a foreign (desert ish) like place. Anyone have any ideas what this movie would be?

I don't know if you are reading this, it is some time ago that you wrote this but... I think you are talking about Wives and daughters. It's a book by Elizabeth Gaskell that BBC made into a tv-series some years ago (Julia Bertram in this Mansfield Park is playing the heroine Molly in W&D). The heroine marries the younger brother actually but the series
ends with them standing on a mountain in the desert.
