question about the sex scene
i was watching the movie with the commentary the other day and she mentions that the US got the "prudish" version of the scene. I was wondering, what else did the original show, exactly?

The version I have in DVD shows breasts and a butt.
ooooooooooo, good thing we were SAVED! Who knows what would have happened if we'd have seen bare human flesh with no cloth over it?
Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

at least give us a screen shot of the scene!!
shareYou can see a whole lot of Alessandro Nivola's backside in Junebug-- funnily enough, in love scenes with Embeth Davidtz!
shareHow dare they ruin a Jane Austen film by adding a sex scene! When I saw that I was appalled. Yes the movie is good but the sex scene just ruined it, there was no need for it at all.
shareOddly enough, people had sex back then. Even Jane Austen's parents had sex. Mr and Mrs Bennet did it at least 5 times.
It's certainly hinted at in the book that the affair is lurid. They elope. What do you think they get up to when they elope? And Lydia with Wickham? And Willoughby even impregnated a girl.
JIM JIM JIMMY JIM JIM JIM JIM!
I was wondering why it was rated PG! The verison we have has the full sex scene in it... what did you get in America instead?

Purple monkeys are flying... There I said it, I feel better for it
The prude version only shows their faces (no nudity) looking at Fanny. That version is sold on AMAZON. The whole sex scene with the nudity and thrusting is available on NETFLIX.
