imagine this film with the original Star Trek actors

made same year 1999 but with Shatner Nimoy etc playing themselves (so abit like Wes Cravens New Nightmare, also the seventh film in the series).

Jesus can you imagine!.. audiences would've gone nuts and it'd have been the highest grossing Trek movie by far. It'd have been like The Voyage Home on crack!

Would they have been in their original series uniforms aboard the 60s TV series Enterprise or their red movie uniforms with the 80s movie era Enterprise? I guess it'd have made more sense story wise (and been funnier) if they'd been in the original series uniforms/Enterprise (as the aliens would have focused on the televised 'historical documents') although with far greater detail/expense than the series – so basically it would be like the movie Enterprise (which would be like a fun injoke)
