What the heck? You're not gonna bring the old actors back? Even when they CLEARLY would have come back? Are you that dumb to think we wouldn't want them back, or too cheap to bring them back? You suck and I will not be watching this show. I honestly don't know why it was cancelled before, but I can assure you it was NOT because of the VO's.
I see what you're saying, and if they manage to sound like the original actors then fine. So far from the preview of the show I've seen, the new voice for Blossom sounds just like the original actor. But at the same time it seems to be a waste to bring in new people when they could have just went with the original cast. They're bringing other actors back to play their roles (such as the narrator, Ms. Keane, and Mojo Jojo) so why recast the three main characters?
The only reason I could think of and this is just a guess so IDK for sure, but maybe they wanted the girls to be voiced by actresses that are kids(The actresses voicing Buttercup and Bubbles look like kids) or just actresses that were younger than the original,The actress voicing Blossom is in her early 20s. It would have been nice if Caty,EG and Tara could return, but I will give the new girls a chance.
I'm gonna show you something beautiful everyone screaming for mercy
I came across a Youtube comment that had some one suggest the same thing. I thought it had some value in it since they're bringing back other actors but the main three. They do probably want younger people, but then again it's not like they're going to be plastered all over the place and a lot of the kids watching won't even know what the new actors look like or even care. Plus, many older people who grew up with the original show are going to be watching. I think getting new people for the sake of it being a newer show down the line isn't quite true. I think it more-so has to do with money. The original cast would probably want to get paid more due to them doing the show for so long. With new people and younger ones at that, they only have to get paid basically how the original cast started with or even less and they don't have to get a big raise. Think about it, had we've been given specials every year, the original cast would be back for sure, like they were for those 2009 and 2014 specials. But a whole show itself planned to run several years? That's a whole different story.
Money and planning could have something to do with it. Also the rather shaky probable motive behind this series existing could also be a factor.
I personally haven't seen anything to cement any rumor on the matter, but clearly there is some thinking behind the choice. Just can't tell which for sure it is.

The shaky factor here is that the Cartoon Network originals of the past have been having problems selling on home media. For things that CN used to love to milk and promote, they aren't the top sellers for WB on home media. As a result their releases are getting less and less.
It was not long after this became knowledge CN/AS announced reboots of Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10 and Samurai Jack. What those three have in common is they are among the only non-current CN series that managed to get full releases on home media.
Which is what lead some to think, they decided to try and re-do their most popular brands to fit better with the current generation (that by contrast is doing much better on home media). The lack of even a one-off Classic PPGs before the debut of the new one was seen as good evidence this is the case.
Where this leads us is that perhaps CN tooted its own horn too much back in the day. So now to combat this trouble, we get new versions in attempts to salvage the reputation of some of these older brands. But not always going to be done to appeal to the old fans, As they more want the current kids of today to find enjoyable (and marketable) versions of these characters. (Since relying on home media re-runs these characters aren't exactly booming right now)

I don't get it. How can their top three shows not do well when it comes to home media sells? And how is making REBOOTED versions of those shows going to help the shows' reputation? For one, those shows were famous during their run and carried on a huge fanbase after their end and will still be remembered as great shows. The newer versions are something separate and might not have the same reputation their original counterparts had, especially given the changes they undergo that fans might not like. They're more prone to tanking than help build the fame of the original show.
