The movie tried so hard to make me like him, but failed

I like almost every character Washington plays.

I personally fear wrongful imprisonment more than anything else in the world.

I know nothing about the real-life case.

Yet I hated the main character in this movie. The scene early on where he tells the guy he is "sitting in my chair" was annoying, cliche, thuggish, and a pretty good indicator of the character.

This movie was 70% boring, 29% offensive, 1% inspiring.

Interesting that you have such a big fear of wrongful imprisonment. Maybe Carters anger is what made you dislike him so much, because of your self identification. Perhaps sub consciously you were viewing the movie as how you would feel if you were wrongly imprissioned...

Just messing with you :)

I love the movie, and cry every time. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. I very much doubt you'll ever end up wrongly imprisoned, but I'm afraid of abandoned gas stations. I mean, what's THAT about?

:)
