Great show. Is not it a little underrated?
I discovered this show recently and I think it's really very funny and well written. However, it appears no ranking, not even in the top 100 sitcoms. My taste is so poor or I missed something?

shareIt's not your taste that's poor, it's everyone else's. This show was fantastic, however the show took a nose dive in seasons 5 and 6 after they fired Reggie's actor from the cast.

I love Becker ! Got into because of Shawnee Smith who played my favourite character in Saw, Amanda Young. But even though that was the main reason I started to watch it I fell in love with all the characters and I like them all equally for different reasons. The chemistry with the 6 of them is amazing and it's so funny and just timeless. I can watch it again and again. I love to watch it when I need cheering up :) it's one of most favourite shows and deffinatly my favourite comedy. Wish it had more seasons but some of the magic was gone once Reggie and Bob left.
shareThe show took a big hit when Reggie left. Bob kept it entertaining, but Hector and Chris were absolutely awful replacements. It's no wonder the show was only renewed for 13 episodes in season 6.

Yeah I have to partly agree with the other poster. Once Bob was gone, it probably wasn't worth making more seasons. The show crashed then. I actually think Chris was ok; she was no Reggie but she wasn't that bad. But once Bob left and was replaced by Hector, the show just wasn't the same anymore. If Reggie or at least Bob had stuck around, another season would probably have been good, but as it was I think the show ran its course.
The people, and the people alone, are the motive force in the making of history.

It's a bit of a hidden gem. Definitely underrated. It's one of my favorite sitcoms.

It's a bit of a hidden gem.This. Somehow it never got very popular. Doesnt make it worse though.
Becker and George Lopez may be the most underrated sitcoms of all time. As far as shows, I'd throw Angel in. Everybody raves about Buffy but Angel is actually better
Oh My God! They Killed Kenny!
You bastard!
I am just about to finish it for the 12th time, I have been going back to it along with friends whenever I am waiting for the new episodes from the shows that I am currently watching.
It is totally underrated, before running into your comment I was just googling "Why wasn`t Becker popular" then I came here to look up the awards that the show got.
for me the only bad thing about the show is when Reggie left, other than that it is my second favorite sitcom of all times.

I just finished watching all six seasons of Becker yesterday and I have to say I miss it already. But all shows end and I’m glad it didn’t go on and on because two of my favorite characters (Reggie & Bob) were off the show by the last season anyway. My only complaint is its lack of presence now. I look up interviews with the cast and can only find Ted Danson talking about Cheers, CSI or Bored to Death, Shawnee Smith talking about the Saw movies and Anger Management and Terry Farrell talking about her time on one of the Star Trek series. It’s like the show came and went and there’s no interest in it now. The message board here isn’t very active. Nor is the one on imdb. It’s sad as it’s such a good show.share
