Another, bash the white young male yuppie movie?

Hollywood's 'New Order' (jawohl, comrade!) of political correctness deems only Caucasian males safe to satirize and parody. Any other ethnic group or women in general would be certain to scream, racism! or sexism!

Of course Hollywood can be too clever for its own good. Hollywood (not the geographical Los Angeles County city, but the entire studio entertainment industry) is led, managed, and profited off of by extremely powerful, influential, and often filthy rich Caucasian men, mostly middle-aged to early senior citizen-aged. These guys think they're smarter than anyone else, including minorities and women. But the trick here is to make minorities and women think they're smarter than the socially and financially well-off white yuppie men group, which stays essentially stable; men growing up into the group and growing old out of it constantly.

So to throw a bone to the 'long-oppressed' minorities and long-suffering women, Hollywood will crank out so-called comedy movies that depict Caucasian late-teenage, twenty-something, and thirty-something men, typically bachelors, as nitwits, horn-dogs but socially inept with beautiful, young white women who hold all the aces in their hands. Here's another useful stereotype. It's always beautiful, charismatic, young white women in charge. Why? Unattractive women hold no power over men and can be easily ignored by the guys. But dudes' hormones won't allow them to ignore beautiful chicks, no matter how stupid and naive the guys are and no matter how obnoxious or bitingly clever the beautiful white gals are.

The funny, irresponsible, doofus young white guy routine was fun to watch in ANIMAL HOUSE (1977), the iconic progenitor of all following dumb-white-guy comedies. But it's long gotten stale and mildly offensive to watch. Go to the real world on New York City's Wall Street and observe all the rich white guys, young adults and older, in their snazzy suits and flashing bulging wallets at the finest New York delis and restaurants and you know who still has the reins of wealth and power in this country. Why try to distract everybody else with 'revenge' comedies portraying white men as idiots? No one is fooled.
