Realistic?

I think this is a bad representation because even the characters think she isn't really mentally ill and that her 'condition' is what everyone has. I think her character was presented as a normal but sad person but no particular crucial mental illness was noticed.

I think it is a real portrayal of mental illness as some of the disorders the girls have are real, however some of the characters, like Lisa and what she goes through (for example when she has shock therapy) is exaggerated through hyperbole to make the film more impactful.
