In the scene where Susanna goes into Daisy's room to trade pills, take a look at when Susanna turns the cat around. Back in the day, if a girl was doing something with a boy in her room you would turn your stuffed animals or nicknacks around.(some girls might still do it nowaydays.) Something about not ruining the innocence of the toy or stuffed animal. I thought the director put this in and made sure the camera caught it and zoomed in. Daisy's dad had just left. Now you know why she turned the porcelain kitty around. Makes the scene all that more haunting. There was a reason that was shown.

Interesting and yes very haunting take on that scene. I don't recall that exact shot so I look forward to watching out for it next time I have the chance.

Interesting take on the scene; I did wonder why they put that there but I think you're right. Definitely haunting.

Wow, thank you for noticing this! I was curious about the cat for two seconds while watching the movie but quickly forgot about it. Man, "haunting" really is the perfect word to describe it.

It is so sad every time i watch it. She passed away too young. She was battling inner demons and watching these movies makes it more sad.

Lena, did you literally see my post about this on Youtube that was made over a year ago with 210 likes? REALLY!!! You literally went and copied and pasted my post and put it on this thread, Imagine my shock when I logged in and saw all my words and thoughts connected to your name. If you are going to do something like this next time do not plagiarize things people write and if you do give the person who actually wrote it the credit. I mean you literally copied the whole post like it was something YOU noticed. You noticed nothing until after you saw my post and copied the entire thing! Come up with your own original thoughts. I have reported you and your post on the thread for Girl Interrupted for coping and pasting a post I made over a year ago on Youtube. I hope you realize that this is illegal. All direct/coping and pasting in a public space on or off the internet is immoral and infringes on the posters rights. I realize that this was just on "Youtube" but these were my own thoughts about the movie and my time that went into writing it. For you to simply copy and paste my words that came from my brain and claim them as your own is wrong. I hope that IMBD contacts you and you delete your post, for this is something I will pursue with the administrators, who have asked for a link to my original post.

Noell, if this is true I am sorry that you were slighted/defamed by Lena's post. You have definitely brought it to everyones attention so I would say your point is clear. I hope you don't let this bother you any further esp since no reply was made by Lena. It will just make you crazy if you dwell on it. Hope you have a good day. :)

Thank-you for your response. You are so right about trying not to dwell on it, especially with the things going on in this world. I guess it really just took me by surprise that something that took me a lot of thought and took the time to write, could so easily be taken with three clicks of the mouse. After not being on IMDB for over three months and literally stumbling onto this thread was shocking to read my analysis from another site word for word posted here. Hope you have bright and beautiful day ahead also.
