I really didn't like Lana's mom!!

Okay, I understand that it's tough where there is something that you don't understand out there. But to seriously help those guys in the murder of Brandon? Telling them where Brandon is when she clearly sees a gun, and what they are planning on doing.
And then at the end with Lana's mom trying to console her. I would be pissed off, and telling her to stay away from me!
Sorry, I know, I'm ranting. lol

I agree. I think she should have been charged as an accomplice to murder.

I thought she told them because she didn't want to have the gun used on her. And she couldn't be certain about their intentions with Brandon.

Remember too guys, this was 15+ years ago. Things have changed in ways impossible to say since then, with how gays/lesbians/transexuals have been treated.
It's easy to judge now, but back then things were alot different.

The mother was the very definition of white trash. She told Lotter to get rid of any evidence after the rape (she admitted to doing so in the documentary). The documentary also paints a very unflattering picture of most of the family and friends of the both the victims and accused, in that they seemed quite matter of fact when talking about the events. One of them was even concerned about a friggin hydraulic clutch, after learning his daughter was murdered.

The only 2 people that showed any passion and moral conviction in the documentary, was the US Marshall that termed Nissan a weasly coward, and the social worker (though IMO misguided in her anti death penalty support for Lotter).

Did Lana's mother really tell them where Brandon was ?.

I thought the documentary revealed it was actually Lana's sister, not her mother, who revealed Brandon's location to John and Tom.

Her character really got on my nerves. She had this loud, bossy voice that made me want slap the sh!t out of her.

I couldn't stand her either. Pure white trash.

I never really liked folks or middle aged people who are party buddies with their children, or who are also friends with their child's friends. It is really not good when they are teenagers. I realize that these were people in their early 20s, but this woman was acting like she was 21...with her slang, mannerisms, and being a part of her daughter's gang of friends.

This part was played great though by Jeanetta Arnette, a very underrated actress, who played the straight laced secretary on "Head of the Class", back in the 80s.
