Most LIKELY how season 2 would started out

I believe the first episode of season 2 would've been EXACTLY like the cliffhanger ending in episode I, but without the shadow priests. There were other storylines going in that cliffhanger episode, such as Reptile wanting an alliance, Tsung/Vorpax mating, Quan Chi joining Vorpax. I believe these storylines among these characters were significant. Now I don't know how exactly things would've been brought back to normal; my guess is that the elder gods literally turn back time, but without the shadow priests... I don't believe it was a dream, otherwise the storylines between Reptile/Tsung/Vorpax/Quan Chi would've never happened in reality...

I think that it would've involved the Elder Gods bringing everyone back because Shao Kahn broke the rules. Then the first or second episode of season 2 would involve Kung Lao, Taja and Siro getting Raiden out of Outworld.

i think the last 2 episodes could be like a vision that kung lao has and that now he has to stop Shao Kahn from summoning these unbeatable shadow priests. while thats happening everything else goes on as usually (vorpax and shang tsungs allaince, sub zero being tracked down by smoke etc`).

There is no Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny retired and the Tooth Fairy is dead...

i was just starting high school when the show ended and i was so into it. i was frustrated because i couldn't find it anywhere on tv after it got canceled. as i recall, the only person that wasn't killed was omegis (she was last shown being followed by shadow priests but never killed).

i can only dream... the show ended almost 9 years ago so i don't think it'll be back any time soon :/

I was happy ending the show there. You rarely get to see a TV Show end with the good guys losing. I loved that.

Its rumoured that the last 2 episodes of season one were a dream kung lao was having and season two would start as kung lao woke up from his dream and tries to stop the events happening...

reply

what wewayne said is true, but the other option i saw on the site was that the shadow priest didnt exactly killed everybody, they were breaking the rules and everybody got brought back to life

reply

yeh the whole dream thing was confirmed and could have worked well

BUT id have had the start of the season being Raiden trying to escape from Outworld without his powers and rescuing kung, siro and taja in the process...and at some point accidently helps quan chi and shang tsung escape

The official Mortal Kombat website which served as the one for Mortal Kombat: Conquest (and movies, and games) had the synopsis for the second season written out. They stated they had most of the season written before the show was cancelled. For the fans they put the season overview up for reading.

The Elder Gods. They would have restored everything (time reversal) to before Shao Kahn's interference with the Shadow Priests and warned him not to try anything like that again. He was barred from ever being able to enter Mortal Kombat as means of conquering Earth for 500 years. Kung Lao and the others would be left to deal with Vorpax and stop her. With this ban Kung Lao's mission of training Siro and Taja for mortal kombat was no longer necessary. After stopping Vorpax and keeping Earthrealm safe from other threats Kung Lao was left to watch Taja and Siro grow old and die (he's age-immortal until the time where he must defend Earth again in Mortal Kombat). During these long years Zaterra would have returned in favour of Shao Kahn (nothing stops him rekilling Reptile, since there's a whole race of them and a more able follower would take his place as leader of the Saurions (the proper name for the race as given from the canon mortal kombat games)) and Shang Tsung earned his favour back by bringing to Shao Kahn a shokan prince of exceptional talent: Goro. Shokans live long and Shang Tsung is able to revitalise himself with souls... So they'd all still live those five centuries.

When once again Mortal Kombat finally came back Kung Lao fought valiantly against Goro. The fight lasted days (literally - they stopped at intervals to rest and resume later) but eventually ended as we all know: Goro killing Kung Lao. From then on Outworld won another eight tournaments in a row but would be stopped from the tenth by one of Kung Lao's descendents: Liu Kang.

The site originally had this up as a scrolling flash "book" that even had images of what they imagined things would look like. However, the site in the past nigh-decade, has changed numerous times and the Conquest side of things has long since passed. I miss the old site, the newer ones are nothing like it. It also used to have message forums where members wrote out roleplaying games and it would host quicktime movies of every fight featured in the series.

And now I'm overwhelmed with nostalgia. :(
