I have the DVD and at the end we see some mist floating about which I assume is Smoke. Can anyone explain where they went with this or am I thinking about a different series as I do own two DVD's of a Mortal Kombat TV series adaption and I'm not sure which is which...

Smoke was introduced by the Ling Qiay to seek out Sub Zero for turning on them. It was close to the end of the series, and nothing more was said about it. They probably intended to have him in the next season, but it was canceled.
