How come the episode with noob saibot comes before the second episode with sub-zero? Even though noob saibot is the spectre of original Sub-Zero. And I know that it is not the younger Sub-Zero, because he has no scar. I am a big fan of the series and of Mortal Kombat, but this was one thing I wanted to clear up, thanks.
shareThe show was made in 1998. It was not revealed in the games that noob was actaully subzero until MK Deception, which came out in late 2004. From MK2 - MKDeception, noob and subzero were thought to be two completely different characters. thats why they are portrayed as such in the movies and tv shows.
Also, the show takes place 500 years in the past. It is most likely that the subzero on the show is actually an ancestor of our present day subzero brothers. after all, it is revealed in the games that the subzero brothers are the 5th generation of Lin Kuei warriors named SubZero.

shareI got all this info from Wikipedia...only because I have nothing else to do at work on my free time. A co-worker and I were trying to figure out if the characters Rain, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Ermac, etc. were in some sort of ninja clan since they wear the same sort of outfits.
Noob Saibot is actually "Tobias Boon" which is the last names of the creators of Mortal Kombat (John Tobias and Ed Boon).
However, (verbatim per wikipedia) "In the Mortal Kombat universe, Noob Saibot was the original Sub-Zero, and brother of the younger Sub-Zero. He was killed by Scorpion, in revenge for killing him. Noob Saibot had to earn his place in the Netherrealm and became a deadly force to be reckoned with. In the ending of Mortal Kombat: Deception, it is shown he is willing to kill even his own brother. Again, as seen in Deception, he has partnered with his brother's old ally, Smoke."
