I just realised that, too. Tho, I dont think it's weird... but I do kinda wonder: "why"?

But he did a good job at two different charactors! I never picked up on that!

I think its great that Jeff Meek not only played both parts, but that he played them so well. He blew Chris Lambert, James Remar, and Brian Thompson away. He was particularly great as Kahn. One of the best tv villans ever in my opinion.

Brian Thompson played Shao Kahn in MK Annihilation. I was just saying that Jeff Meek was better than both Lambert and Remar as Rayden, and better than Thompson as Kahn. Sorry for any confusion.

I was surprised by that when I read that. Wonder why? I had thought t hat Shao Khan was played by that actor who played Luke on the first episode of the first season of Buffy.

Thompson did play a vampire in the first season of buffy.

He played both because Shao Kahn and Rayden were brothers I believe. I dont know if thats how it went in the rest of the Mortal Kombat world but I think thats how it was on the show.

Nope... that was on Mortal Kombat 2 which means you should ignore that fact. Nowhere in any MK game does it say that rayden and shao kahn are brothers nor the in tv series.

He was great as both of them. He really made you believe it was someone else besides him playing Shao Kahn. He was definetly better than Brian Thompson as Kahn.

yeah Meek gave the best performance playing Shao Kahn, better than Brian. At Meek was a bit broad shouldered. I didn't like the physique of Kahn in MK-2.

I just found out after reading this that the same actor played Khan and Rayden... how do they have a fight in the end then if it's the same guy???

Anyway, you are way wrong about him being better than Christopher Lambert, no one beats his voice for Rayden at least.

They probably find someone with same body type or like a body double, they was able to have Jet Li fight himself, Jackie Chan played two roles in same room in Twin Dragons, as well as other movies and TV shows have had same actor playing two roles together.
