was the actor playing kung lao a martial artist?

or did he have doubles. just wondering.

No I don't think Paolo is a martial artist. In alot of shots you can totally tell it's a white guy doing all of the fighting and acrobatic stuff.

I'm not sure if he is a martial artist or not, but I definitely know that he was doubled in the show. It really wasn't that hard to tell.

They actually used multiple doubles. Sometimes you can tell one guy had a taller physique than the other but as the show progressed, they seemed to be consistent with the same double.

And no, Paolo did not know martial arts during the filming of the series. I don't know if he knows martial arts now, but definitely not when they were filming the show. The only actors that actually knew martial arts training was Daniel and Jeff but you can tell they used stunt double for some fight scenes.
