So, has anyone noticed the disparity...

So, has anyone noticed the disparity between the series and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation? Because it seems to me that the series is like 1000 times better than the second movie.

I think the series had a chance for Character development instead of throwing all the characters together in one movie without a good back story.

I reviewed MK Conquest on this site and rated it higher than the 2nd, but equal to the 1st.

My main gripe with the 2nd movie was the story and the casting. James Remar is a good actor but didn't fit as Rayden, he had some big shoes to fill following Christopher Lambert. Sondra Hess puts Bridgette Wilson to shame in terms of looks, but Wilson had the personality for Sonya. Wilson naturally looks disgruntled. They made the film about Lui Kang after Lui already did his story. IMO it should have been between Rayden and Kahn.

Sometimes the bad guys won in the series, even when they lost they still looked superior sometimes. A movie can only have so many fights compared to a series, so I won't make the comparison of which had the better fights.

Reboot, restart or re-imagining is another word for remake

SH prettier than BW? What u smokin'? Bridgette's one of my all time faves.

The series definitely had the better action. I'd even suffice it to say that some of the fight scenes were choreographed better than any in both movies. They really put a lot into it.

My turn!
