My problems with this show.

I would to share my problems with this show:
1.The first episode:There is nothing in Mortal Kombat history to even SUGGEST that Shang Tsung was ever sent to any kind of mine as punishment for losing to Kung Lao.
2.Rain:Rain only made his appearance in the MK Universe in the third tournament. He shouldn't even be in this show.
3.The ending:Impossible, the Elder Gods would never have let Shao Kahn's Shadow Priests get away with that.
4.Scorpion:Scorpion would have been completely human back then.He only became undead after Quan Chi ressurected him.
5.Kitana:She only made her appearance in the second tournament. If this is the story of the original Kung Lao,then she wouldn't have appeared on the scene. She only became part of the MK Universe when Liu Kang entered the tournament in Mortal Kombat 2.
6.Mileena:Same as Kitana, she only came onto the scene because they suspected that Kitana might be turning against the Emperor when they spotted her talking to someone from Earthrealm.
7.Reptile:I think it is WAY too early for him to appear on the scene.Besides,Reptile is Shang Tsung's bodyguard. So if Shang Tsung HAD been sent to the mines then Reptile would have followed him.
8.Quan Chi:I have NO idea why they would even think of including him in this show as he only made his first appearance in the fourth tournament.Plus,he works for Shinnok. So if he is there then Shinnok would also be.

That's all I can think of right now.Feel free to reply with your feedback!!!

The thing is with this show, as many others and foilms based on novels and games, The story of tne movie or series is way out from the original source. At least the story of the series was still good and fun to follow, despite the changes.

1. There's also nothing to suggest he wasn't, either.
2. When Rain makes an appearance in games makes no difference. Like Kitana and all Edenians they have insane life spans. Rain was an Edenian who ended up serving Kahn after Kahn took over Edenia. Since the show is set after this event, it makes absolutely perfect sense for Rain to be there.
3. Elder Gods are not all knowing. The story was supposed to continue in Season 2 with the Elder Gods undoing what had happened.
4. I agree. Scorpion was fully re-written here.
5. She was an Edenian with a long lifespan. This show takes place after Kahn took over Edenia. When a character appears in the games is irrelevant.
6. See #2 and #5.
7. It's not the same Reptile. There was an episode in Conquest which revealed that the name 'Reptile' is simply used by whichever one is 'in charge'. It's a generic reference not specific to only one individual. Alternatively, they could just have long lifespans like Edenians and this was all before he became a bodyguard.
8. When he appears in games is irrelevant. Quan Chi, like Shang Tsung, keeps himself alive and young through magic. Perfectly reasonable for him to be there. Nothing prevents this all happening before he served Shinnok or he could be working for Shinnok and we simply don't see Shinnok because there's reason for us to.

When a character appears in the games doesn't make a difference when dealing with a story. In the MK world these characters would not just magically pop into existence at that time. They have history and backstory which this show uses.

Also try to remember: this show is just an adaptation. It's NOT canon. It uses MK characters and story for the purposes of entertainment not providing an actual look into MK's history. Scorpion and Sub-Zero shouldn't be there, because MK games set them much later - as in, they would not be alive yet. We see Smoke when he wouldn't exist for much later. Scorpion's real name, occupation, and creation as a supernatural fighter were all entirely different. And so on. And so forth. Just how it goes.

This series is not a part of MK canon.
