shareI reckon Bozz got shot by the Vietcong (hence the bloke apperently saying he was killed), got taken as a POW. Got released at the end of the war and went to live in Mexico!!!! Just my idea!!!
shareEnigma! It's the best way to end a film. Some say he died out there, one guy said he saw Bozz in Mexico. It's up to you I suppose.
shareBozz is still alive here

The movie also points out that his name was not listed among those killed in Vietnam. Possibilities are that he went AWOL prior to being shipped overseas or did so in Vietnam. It's only a movie but Boz seemed to know how to get out of anything so my guess is that he found a way.
sharelello302,
I really like your theory. I love Tigerland's ending.
I'd like to see or read a part two. Maybe Bozz went AWOL in "Nam" and ended up in a civilian situation. Christopher Walken in Deer Hunter did.
Or maybe he tried one of his complex thought provoking stunts that landed him with someone else's identity and he ended up on a fatality list under someone else's name. It would be interesting if he had some kind of strange circumstance story, ended up back with his/ or another field unit (similar to his coming back to Tigerland after setting up an escape to Mexico and nearly exercising that option). The ending was perfect for leaving the window open, and it was very Bozz-like, because you never knew what he was going to do.
I think, with his attitute problem and his unwillingless to kill, that he probably got fragged... and if not, probably got killed by victor charlie.
shareHe miraculously survived his entire tour unscathed and went to Mexico to live with many beautiful señoritas. Why not make up a happy story?
shareI think he went AWOL. Probably went to Thailand for awhile...then to Mexico...
shareYou're never supposed to know what actually happened to Bozz. He passed into legend. He only has meaning and power as a presence and as a memory of the things he stood for.
