Where is ITAS?/Bravo and reality show crap!

Bravo! network used to be this amazing channel. With all kinds of great programs on art and culture. Now it has degenerated into a ceasepool of reality shows. What's next the Real Housewives of Des Moines? I have not seen ITAS on Bravo in months. It seems like it's been cancelled.

Most of the people that work in television, movies and theater are more to a liberal persuasion. What bugs the hell out of me is why are not SAG and other actor or writers unions or just Hollywood types in general not pissed off that regular entertainment product isn't being made anymore? The fact that the Emmy's and like shows now give awards to these hapless, pathetic and useless program shows is frightening.

In fact NBC's gamble with Jay Leno had turned to a colossal failure and dropping like a stone in the ratings. In fact the aclaimed series Southland was picked up for a full season and although 6 episodes have been filmed NBC is cancelling the show before they put it back on the air! In kind of an a** backwards mentality I think shows like NCIS, any of the Law & Order series, even comedies like How I Met Your Mother, those are the reality shows, because events those show at least are plausible to real life.

I can't believe ITAS isn't on at all anymore. No re-runs! At least you'd think they'd release each season (if you can even call it a season) on dvd.
Why'd they even film Gene Wilder's actors studio interview? What was the point of that. I saw it about 10 years ago, haven't seen it since (I've had a google alert on it for years). All these reality people are just people begging, and I mean BEGGING, for attention.

I completely agree. I haven't had Bravo on in MONTHS. Why aren't they at least showing reruns if for some reason Lipton isn't filming new interviews anymore?? Or why isn't a cable station like the Biography channel running this show? It's an unappreciated gem and I miss the show. I guess most people just don't have the attention span for it.

Um, it has been on? The problem is, while they have ads for an "Real Housewives" show or other garbage, they don't promote ITAS at all. I just have it set up in my DVR so that when any episode is on, it's recorded. Recently I've seen Mickey Rourke, Jason Bateman, Hilary Swank, Judd Apatow and unfortunately Bon Jovi. They've also been re-running the Family Guy one a lot.

My problem is, the guests are now only people with something to promote - and not even anything GOOD to promote. Of recent Guests I'd say Hilary Swank was the only one that would have been on the ITAS of olde. They almost never show the good past episodes, and there aren't very many of those on iTunes either.

IATS should follow the example of Project Runway and move to a network that appreciates them, perhaps Ovation or AMC? How about a ITAS with the cast of Mad Men?

I think Bravo is under NBC's flag now.
And NBC is runned by the biggest douchebag of all: Jeff Zucker. Nuff said.
