Worst Guest Possible, Past or Present

This is in response to another thread, "Posthumous wish list". Someone put down Ed Wood. I thought that was brilliant and would have the potential to be one of the more interesting episodes. Sometimes it's the guest on the lesser side who are more purely entertaining (and compensate see Daniel Radcliffe).

Which got me to thinkin’, who would be the most inappropriate, surreal, ironic, bad, yet awesomely-bad guest.

Sidebar: Though, some have cried sacrilege over guest like Cameron Diaz, Billy Joel and Martin Lawrence that's not what I'm talking about. Understandably, acting is to some extent subjective, they don't intentionally try to offend in their guest choices.

I mean...
Michael Bay
Dennis Dugan (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Benchwarmers, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, National Security)
Joel Schumacher
Bret Ratner.

Or actors like...
Hayden Christensen
Steven Seagal
David Caruso
Orlando Bloom
Keira Knightley
Milo Ventimiglia
Paul Walker
Freddie Prinze Jr.
Kate Bosworth
(Love him but,)Keanu Reeves
Tara Reid
Madonna

I would have put Jenifer Lopez on the list but...you guys were there, you saw it. I guess some students would like to be like J.Lo., but... I don't know how that happened. She was nice and amusing though!

I don't personally like Keira Knightley either, but she's a prime candidate for the show.

And I would LOVE to see Keanu Reeves on the show.

reply

Uwe Boll.

It will be hilarious, I can imagine him saying something like "So I was playing this awesome video game last year, and I suddenly decided to make it into a film".

^ He will probably repeat that for most of his films. lol.

reply

What exactly did Teri Hatcher have to share with anyone??

reply

Harrison Ford was a very weak interviewee and I don't think it was Lipton's fault.

How about the Bon Jovi band? This is not VH1 Behind the Music!

reply

How about Jon Bon Jovi?

I mean, JON BON JOVI!!!!!!!

reply

They had Seth McFarlane on. I don't think it can really get any lower than that.

reply

Well, he has done some acting.

Wait a second. We're not going to Guam, are we?

The family guy episode it was so awkward, because I hate it when comedians try and act like some acting philosopher. It was like they did their Family guy voices and then became very serious and introspective while stroking their chin.

I didn't care for Jessica Lange's interview. I mean, she is a great actress and seems like an interesting person, but her speech is just so disjointed, it's actually painful to listen to. She would start a sentence, then in the middle of it would start another one, and that's how it keeps going ad infinitum. It's difficult to figure out what she is trying to say - you are left to guess at her meaning.

Another one I didn't like was Robin Williams. Never had anything against him prior to this interview, but my god, the man doesn't have one iota of class. Some of the jokes... just shouldn't have been made.

Okay, I have to disagree with the Robin Williams episode.

I thought it was quite friggin hilarious.

reply

Did you like the aria he sang about his penis?

I dunno, I really don't have a shred of prudery in me, but this, to me, just wasn't funny at all.

I'm a fan of crude humour. The ruder, the better. Which probably explains my love for people such as Sarah Silverman and Margaret Cho.

reply

I remember the Robin Williams episode. I love him and all and i think he's very funny, but he barely allowed himself to get interviewed! I think he was only asked an ounce of all the questions they're usually asked. He wouldn't sit still for longer than a minute lol

reply

robin williams probably have adhd so he couldnt sit still for very long.
i thought the episode was supreme, because he played so many characters. that was nice..

reply

Oh, but that was HILLARIOUS!!! To me, I don't think there's a funnier interview in the world! That aria, I loved his straight face throughout it, and the voice....I don't know, to me it was funny.

And I think that even if you didn't like it, you have to appreciate his geniality, the way ideas storm in and out his brain, I mean, while watching the interview I couldn't help but thinking how does this guy sleep at night? I mean, is there a button he presses to 'shut off' his brain or what??

The last thing I will say is this...A guy had to be taken by an ambulance because he got a hernia from all the laughing in that interview. How often does that happen??
