shareYour'e right. Why not? is there some secret animosity between them? Or does Gary Oldman refuse the invitiations? How about John Turturro? Has he ever been on.
shareI would LOVE to see Gary Oldman on this show, I think hes amazing
You know me, I'm not one to gossip but you'll never guess what I heard...
What?!!

GODDAMNIT! Gary Oldman!
shareHave you guys ever watched a Gary Oldman interview? It's obvious that he is a shy person. MY guess is that he probably already has recieved an invitation. Why he hasn't been on the show yet is something only Gary knows.
shareAny and all prospective guests receive a standing invitation to come on Inside the Actors Studio every year. Gary Oldman is one of some that choose to decline the invitation.
Oh members of IMDb, yours is a dim-witted and insane lot!
Someone needs to force him. Say "hey man... you owe the world." :)
Or at least tell him that it would be good publicity for the next time you are up for an oscar. And it might help you get more non-villian role.
Don't confuse my lack of funds for company loyalty.
Because he doesnt like people standing up and clapping? Very odd if you ask me.
shareI enjoy interviews with talented performers and have been very fortunate to attend quite a few.
One of the best was with Gary Oldman at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in the Bing Theater.
Although it lasted much longer there is a short excerpt available to view at www.filmindependent.org/lacma/videos/an-evening-with-gary-oldman-2/ he revealed many insights and it was a real pleasure to hear this gentleman.
I have lived a life working in recording studios, on live plays, on film sets, in cinemas, played in a few R & R bands.
I have discovered that many performers reveal themselves to be truly genuine persons. For example:
A list would be too long, but I was truly impressed by Jeannie Berlin, a true soul who by the way was fabulous in "Margaret". Ed Harris was one of the nicest, most thoughtful people I've ever had the good fortune to meet (during a revival-run of the play "Sweet Bird of Youth" where he portrayed Chance Wayne).
Joe Cocker was another extremely nice caring individual, as was high energy, heart-felt Chaka Khan.
Gregory Peck amazed me that he was such a very warm-hearted, good spirited, generous man.
And I was touched by the lovely Cloris Leachman and actress-singer Karen Black. There are many others.
These few creative entertainers, who radiated warmth, did not have to invest their energy in behaving like decent caring people, yet somehow they found the reserves to do so.
Perhaps these few performers find it easier to bring the best out of themselves because they are truly doing what they love, doing it 100%, dealing with others who feel the same. Perhaps they are closer to being truly fulfilled.
Though life is never easy in a sense perhaps what we are seeing, hearing, is a glimpse of their 'secret' great joy of living.
