No discussion on Zodiac?

Just watched the Jake Gyllenhaal episode. One thing that irked me is there were no questions about Zodiac. This is one of his best movies, I just don't understand why it wasn't given some time. It was briefly mentioned in the opening but no actual discussion about it. Same with Source Code, which I personally think it overrated, but still it's one of his more acclaimed films.

I think they had to cut some stuff to fit into 40 minutes. I've read some announcements of the show that said that he spoke about working with Aniston, Hathaway and Paltrow, but there was no mention of either The Good Girl or Proof. also I'm surprised there were only two student's questions. so I guess the interview was longer but cut for tv.

It's all about ratings. They know that viewers are more interested in the interview rather than the seminar. I've seen episodes where only one student's question is show.

I thought the same thing, too bad they didn't mention Zodiac

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

When they edit the hours of interview to a 40-minute episode, they don't choose the guest's best movies but the most interesting answers. That became clear to me when Brad Pitt didn't talk about FIGHT CLUB. Who knows? Maybe there was nothing relevant to say about those movies.

Yeah I just wish the show was longer I guess.
