James Lipton has no enthusiasm, and shows no emotion.

Why is his show so popular? It sounds like he's doing a reading, and he talks like an Autist; very monotonous and bland.

reply

He enthusiastic about blowing smoke up the backside of his guests.

Actually that's what I like about him. It's more natural. Same reason I like Charlie Rose.

Just watching the show in the UK with Hugh Laurie. Is this show big on the other side of the pond?

He could quite possibly be the worst interviewer I've ever watched! It's like he's reading a list of pre written questions and never seems to probe any of Hugh's answers, only jumping to the next pre written question. It's just not natural!

reply

You know, I think at first his interview style seems strange but it's a style of questioning that gets people to open up more.

He was actually requested by the police to assist them with negotiations.

It complements the actor's expressions. Think about it. When you taste wine, do you not eat a cracker or something of the sort to cleanse the tongue as to able to taste the next wine?

Better watch out, better start crying. Better hurry up, run and hide. Krampus is coming to town! >:)
