Then he tries to put the blame on Jordan when she did the exclusive. He had to have known that his close friends would get a copy. Geez, that was stupid.

shareWhile Lance was reading the story in the bathroom, during the bachelor's party, in Harper's narration it said something about the character that represented Harper felt responsible for Mia's misery since Lance kept cheating on her, so it made it seem like he slept with her because he felt she needed that(revenge) to deal Lance. So I don't think Harper was into her the way he was into Jordan (Nia Long), but like most men they'll find a way to enjoy sex even if it means thinking of someone else to get through it. I hope this helps answer "the why".

It was revealed in the Best man part 2 that Mia chose Harper. She must have seduced him or something and Harper fell for it. Mia told Lance that she chose Harper not the other way around.
Not to mention, he also wants to dedicate the book to them as a wedding gift. Talk about sticking the knife in and twisting it.
