I wonder if a subtitled unedited version of Pokemon is available sine (would have to have english subtitles can't under stand japanese :P ) I wonder what's in, could Misty be a lesbain? well probably not but i still wonder about the subtleties that are probably there, I bet it's a whole lot better in it's origional form.

-_- Kasumi is not a lesbian as you suggest. The original version is better, but personally I like Kojiro in the dub just as much as I do in the sub. The main thing about the original is different names, there are some episodes that never showed (Porigon episode, Safari Zone episode), there are numerous scenes cut (including a deliciously hilarious scene of Roketo-dan entering the bikini contest from the "missing" episode), the "donuts" are called by their proper names, Japanese signs aren't painted over in English (duh), and other various things. My guess why they haven't released an uncut version is because there's not as big a fandom for the original and there's probably money involved. Also, kids wouldn't recognise their favourite characters and Pokemon if they weren't called by their original names.

Hmm... Yeah, I don't think anyone old enough to be interested in subtitles is still into the show... Well, Could be wrong, but not likely. Pokemon is just a cashcow for nintendo marketed to little kids... A very ingenious one at that (I mean, money wise) It did it's duty quite well.

Hell, I didn't have a Moogle, Cacutar, or Cait Sith for my Lulu costume for Hallowe'en, so I took my Pikachu trick or treating instead. As far as I know, Pocket Monsters is still a smash hit in Japan, a second series just came out, and if it's a cash cow, so what? Damn good show and good games. I think the main reason people hate it now is because they already hated it when it was popular but they just wanted to fit in, or they hate it now because it's not in. Sheep are stupid like that.

Subtitled Master Quest episodes will be available February 22, 2004 according to amazon.com. In the mean time you can search for the Advanced Generation subs.

shareJust posting here to get a point across. First off, for you people that think Pokemon is poorly done, you would be right. However, The original Japanese series(and Advanced Generation as well) are superior to the dubbed version by far. My suggestion to find subtitled eps/movies is to look around, you'll eventually find it. Trust me, the original raw versions of the episodes are way more enjoyable to watch, since it doesn't contain stupid puns, cuts, or annoying dub music.

Seriously? Just imagining Satoshi cursing...that just cracks me up. XD I never got over the fact that the onigiri are referred to as donuts. Ugh, how retarded. -_- As far as finding unedited versions...well, I've seen pirated subbed VHS's of DBZ and Sailor Moon Stars; I'm sure you can find the same for Poketto Monsuta. :P
I'd personally like to see a re-release of the PM manga by Ono Toshihiro-sensei (y'know, right-to-left, with the original names, Japanese FX, etc.), while I seriously doubt it'll happen. ;_; Laugh at me if you must, but I still read it -- it's a good manga!
