does the japanese version have american words in the language ior those stroke words people in japan use to write with?

Speaking of the Green version, it's not any different from the Red and Blue versions, is it? Why didn't it get released into the U.S.?

Pokemon Blue Version is the American version of the Japanese Green Version. It was just translated and given a different colored cartridge. The recent Firered and Leafgreen Versions are remakes of Red and Blue, and you'll notice that they have returned to their origninal color scheme by which I mean red and green.
