talking pokemon question
i saw a little bit of pokemon today and the pokemon acually talked i thought they could only say there name can all the pokemon talk or just certain few

shareWas it Meowth? If so, he tought himself to talk when he was living alone in the streets. They had an episode about it. Why I remember it still is beyond me.

He may of saw that Pokemon rescue Squad show. They could all talk there for some reason.

Although it's bs that they cant talk. Realistically speaking, humans are able to talk because we have developed vocal chords and tongues that are flexible enough to form words. The reasons that dogs bark and cats meow is because they have different vocal chords and their tongues are flat and not very flexible, at least not to the point to where they can form words. If pokemon have the language skills and the equipment to speak their names, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to speak a language. Meowth learned to speak to impress a female meouth (which failed histerically) and only a few others, which are a certain Ghastly and of course Mewtwo. This is speaking about the original series, paying no attention to the show that I just found out about by a previous comment that for some reason the pokemon CAN talk in that show.
shareIt was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. They are supposed to talk, since the main character has become a Pokemon and entered the Pokemon World. Hence, what you are hearing (the talking in English) can be derived as you hearing what the Pokemon (main character) is hearing. The anime is about a human who is brought into the Pokemon and must join a Rescue Squad to save "brother Pikachu." (At least, in the first one...)

Mewtwo also talks telepathically. He, Lugia, Lucario, and Entei are able to possess this gift. Some can talk, though it is not explained why. I am sure it has something to do with Psychic powers, as all of the Pokemon who are extremely Psychic in some form are able to speak to Ash, and the main characters. Not all, but the ones that are Legendary, or just incredibly powerful. Lucario was able to speak due to his Aura, and being a guardian...I believe.
