Whhaaat?? He's STILL 10??

The show debuted in 1997. In the first episode he recently turned 10. 13 or so years later, episode 660 aired, and at the start of Black and White, the announcer said "10 year old Ash Ketchum"...

Seriously? Over the past 13 years, he hasn't aged at ALL??

I was 5 when this show started and grew up loving it. I'm 19 in a month, and felt like reminiscing the old days, so I watched the first episode of Black and White when I heard this. Anyone else find this a little strange that the producers of the show haven't aged Ash at all? It doesn't really make sense that he could do all of this stuff and not even a year has passed.

Yea it's just weird because about half way into season 1, they said that 3 months had passed. so seasons 1.5 through 13 = 9 months. In sailor moon and Digimon they aged They seem to age in most animes so it's just weird that they aren't in this one.

Sailor Moon characters aged every 2 years:

14 year olds in 1992, the show's debut.

Usagi turns 15 in Sailor Moon S, 1994.

They are 16 in high school by Sailor Moon Stars in 1996.

Well aging every 2 years would be better then not aging a day in 13 years

Problem with him being 10 still is that they showed Ash and friends celebrating him and Pikachu's 1 year anniversary! And that was still in between Kanto and Johto! If Ash just turned 10 when he got Pikachu that one year would have to mean hes at least 11.

In the first season there's a few references to it being 'a year', but I think that was because they didn't expect the anime to run as long as it did...now all references to years are...well...there are none!
