First 3 seasons were good

The rest is god awful. I can't believe its still going. Team Rocket just keep chasing that pikachu to the point that its just depressing. Would you dedicate almost 15 years of your life for a pikachu to impress your boss. Brock has left. Misty has left. The new pokemon character designs look to kiddie. Yes the old ones were but these designs are too simple and boring. The stories are bad and Ash's voice now is just creepy for someone who is suppose to be 10(for 15 years). I don't know when that happened exactly. I just flick on the tele for a bit and discovered Ash has a new voice actor. Anyways, I can't stand this show but the old games are great. Extreamly addictive.

Yeah, this was good up until they started adding Pokemon. I remember I had the 150 Pokemon down and I could name them all at the drop of a coin but after the third movie with Entei and the introduction of new Pokemon is when I left.

I don't mind the addition of Pokemon, but as long as their good.

In order of favorite generation Pokemon, it would be:
1. Kanto - The original 151. Nostalgic, I know, but they're still impressive over the other generations.
2. Hoenn - An impressive batch for a follow-up generation, IMO. The starters are also pretty cool, besides Torchic. But Torchic's evolutions make up for it.
3. Johto - They were okay. Since there weren't that many, it left little to be desired. Some of them were cool, mostly the evolutions of the previous ones (Scizor, Steelix, Kingdra)
4. Unova - Would've been better than Johto if it weren't for the stupid names. I mean, Roggenrola? Vanillish? Whoever came up with these English names, needs to be fired, because they ruined what' could've been a great batch of new Pokemon. The only really cool starter is Snivy (which would've been better being called the fan-dubbed Smugleaf)
5. Sinnoh - My least favorite Pokemon generation. A good amount of them are evolutions and pre-evolutions from previous generations, which sucks. Some Pokemon just don't need a Poke-relative. And the starters are really lame.

Yes, the show began to suck after the 3rd season. Ash never growing up and really no actual growth within the show a tall. It's like after 10 years, it's only been 10 months in Pokemon universe. I guess that's why I stopped watching, the characters have no layers and the stories are repetitive. The new pokemon are weird yet very too similar in powers and abilities as the previous ones. Basically, just changing the mask but it's the same pokemon.

I'm glad I saw and liked the show when I did. But the show can only keep a generation of fans held for so long. New generation fans probably liked seasons 4-5 and so on.

The thing that does still keep me interested in the pokemon version games. I haven't played them all but these games do keep me entertained. You can pretty much change the course of your luck and game every time. Have a different pokemon being your lead pokemon as you restart each game. I think that makes it a bit fresh.

did anybody watch season 5 ? Season 5 was almost as good as season 1, I thought seasons 2-4 where horrible especially season 2.
