summary anyone?

Cillian's character, Davin, gets a girl pregnant, she want him to marry her and he doesnt want to so he stows away with a group of people going to the US to work for the summer, Davin plans to stay in the US. Basically its a coming of age story as it follows Davin as he tries to do as little work as possible and have as much fun as possible. He meets a girl who he likes and she convinces him that he doesn't have to marry the girl but he should go back to Ireland and face up to his responsibilities. The performances were good and its well written and better than a lot of teenage/coming of age movies. The movie reminded me of Intermission as the character Cillian played was basically a younger version of the character John in Intermission - he's not a bad guy but he's lazy and would rather opt for the easy way out and rely on his charm than work for what he wants.

Is it worth buying - it's an enjoyable movie, I laughed out loud a couple of times. It costs about $20 US from the Austrailian site (hmv austrailia)- they have a currency converter on their site so you can check the exact price. They ship the next day and it takes about two weeks to arrive.

great soundtrack by the high lamas, beautiful photography, totally sweet performances. worth buying
