The man was a visionary.

Got the news of Steve's death on my iPhone, writing this message on a MacBook Pro, and in his honour I'll watch "Pirates" on my iPod tonight. Thanks for all the cool toys Steve, you'll be missed.

I had wanted to buy this movie for years and for some reason I decided to get it just in the last week. It arrived in my mailbox this past Tuesday and I watched it that evening. Just 24 hours later Steve Jobs passed on. RIP Steve Jobs and yes you will be greatly missed.

I work in IT and this has been one of my favorite movies since I saw it when it first aired on cable when I was in college. RIP Steve! You were an inspiration to me and your products have been apart of my life since I can remember!

I've owned this movie on VHS and on DVD when it was finally released. I'm now watching it again in his memory. Yes, I am a nerd! =P

reply

Yes. I first knew about him and Gates because of this movie. Its only fitting to us who was introduced to Jobs via this movie to send our Condolences here.

Even though I became a Microsoft guy (.NET Developer) I really have respect for the guy.

RIP Steve. You have dented the world. How about Heaven? Nirvana?

RIP Steve, a true visionary taken from us way too early

reply

Looks like I wasn't the first person to think of this movie after the news. I will watch it again in honor of Steve.

Been watching this movie all day. One of my all-time favorites. Like all great men of vision and passion he had his flaws. And the flaws within him reflect the flaws within all of us. But the world's a better place because he was a part of it. Rest In Peace, Steve. Thanks for the Great Ride!

The visionary. I love Apple. My ipad my iphone my ipod my whole tech life is apple.

reply

No one will ever replace him. When Bill Gates passes on, then it will truly mark the end of an era. They are the fathers of the tech we use now.

not really. technically they both stole ideas from others and marketed them. that's all. they were no fathers of anything other than marketing.

reply

Now that's lame, if you can't respect than also don't criticize

If that is so ordinary than why can't we see more people like them? Have you done something like that before calling them just marketing bluffs?

GET A LIFE!

reply

I did not say they are not great marketers now did I? No I have not done something like that because I am not a sales guy. And have no intention of doing.
Not as greedy to have the drive to screw people you know.

By the way if you knew anything about anything about the history of these companies you would know who were the real minds behind their success and that was Paul Allen - Microsoft and Steve Wosniak - Apple.

reply

Wrong. If you can't realize the truth then don't deify.

How true, Woz is the only real creator here .. And regardless of what you think of Bill Gates, he was a good programmer .. Jobs was nothing but a poser with some marketing success and should not get the praise he does when the people who truly deserve the praise go unsung.
