Locations they never visited

I find it odd that they revisited certain locations in multiple episodes, while certain regions were entirely ignored by the series:

- For example, the Thornberries had stops in Wyoming, Florida, Alaska, and Hawaii, but it's odd that they never went to the Northeastern United States, the West Coast, or the Southwest. They could have visited Marianne's hometown (wherever that is), or her alma mater (Berkeley, California). They could have had Eliza interact with California sea lions, Channel Island foxes, cougars, coyotes, grey squirrels, snapper turtles, skunks, beavers, armadillos, porcupines, rattle snakes, and red-tailed deer.... Maybe even some typical domestic dogs and cats.

- They never went to Canada, the second largest country in the world. There would be plenty for Eliza's family to explore from the Prairies up to the Arctic.

- Iceland would have been a nice adventure, to visit the elusive Arctic fox subspecies that inhabits the country.

- They only visited West Africa once - Nigeria. There is a lot more to see there.

- Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean - Aside from Great Britain, Switzerland, the Nordic countries, and Russia, the Thornberries didn't venture into Europe that much. It would have been interesting to have them search for wisents on the border of Poland and Belarus, chamois in the Carpathian Mountains, wolves in Italy, lynxes in Spain, and Barbary macaques in Gibraltar.

- The South Pacific - Aside from Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii, the Thornberries didn't really explore Oceania. Papua New Guinea is a hotbed of wildlife, and island nations like Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, and Vanuatu would have made interesting adventures.

Ya I always thought that too. The way the show ended so abruptly probably had a lot to do with that. I always wanted to see them visit Marianne's parents too especially when I found out that they live in Arizona. There is so much more to Arizona then what so many people think. That is where I live so I wanted to see exactly how it would be portrayed on the Thornberrys. It would have been interesting to see them in more of the european and American countries because they never did venture there to much mostly it was Africa and that was about it.
