I have never seen "the gift of gab" so I don't know anything about Donnie's origins, or if he was adopted, kidnapped, etc. so I may be wasting bandwith by asking
was he adopted or was he "legally kidnapped?" how can they issue a passport to a person, even a child, without actual documentation of birth? did the embassies write up some fake paperwork (trust me, they had connections)

Honestly, I don't know. I believe everything involving Donnie was legal. They legally adopted him. Maybe Borneo is lienient. I don't know what to say, the kid was born in the jungle and his parents died. The country obviously helped them give him a stable life. They didn't just pick him up and claim him as their own kid. They brought Donnie into the family after Gift of Gab.
shareHe wasn't actually adopted until later in the series, but he went with them more than them taking him. Can't remember if they looked around for parents or not but wasn't like the kidnapped him. Also as a kid, depending on where they were going he might not have needed a passport.
