Why did his wife arrange a restaurant dinner for two?

Who was the other person? I guess you can REALLY suspend your disbelief in to thinking that it was for Malcolm and it was something she did as some sort of self manipulation because she didn't want to accept that he was gone. But even that is really far fetched to believe.

Also, I need some elaboration. What was Malcolm's unfinished business which meant he couldn't leave the earth yet? To understand Vincent Gray? What exactly was that about?

I don't think a dinner for two was arranged. There seems to be only one place setting. But I don't think it would be unbelievable at all. I've read about people in real life who have a table set for two as a way to commemorate their deceased loved one.

To let go of Vincent Gray. He couldn't forgive himself for not having been able to help him, by helping Cole he was able to make amends and forgive himself. And he also had to make clear to his wife that he loved her even though he may have neglected her in the past.
